Where the annular path reaches Spain
Seville and Cádiz are useful mainland references inside the annular path. Palma is a warning example: the geometric solar altitude is around the horizon, so local relief, trees and buildings can decide whether the event is visible at all.

January conditions are more variable than the summer events. Southern Spain can offer useful clear spells, but fronts and low cloud can arrive quickly. Keep inland and coastal alternatives and re-check both cloud and the horizon forecast.
Terrain limitations
This is a low-Sun event, especially toward the south-west. A clear map region does not mean a clear line of sight. Confirm the exact solar azimuth, nearby relief and buildings at the chosen coordinates before travelling.
Eye safety
Annularity is never safe to view without certified solar protection. Keep eclipse viewers on throughout the entire event, including the ring phase. Cameras, binoculars and telescopes require their own correctly fitted solar filters.
